Registration Rules

  1. Preferential treatment will be given to those who are Chesterfield County Residents.
  2. Non-County Residents are welcome to play in the leagues. A non-resident fee of $15 per league in addition to the registration fee will apply, in accordance with Chesterfield Parks and Recreation requirements.
  3. PCCC Leagues are open to all players.
  4. Registration is $40 per league.
  5. The Fixed Partner league is $75/team & Dinking Seniors will be offered at a reduced rate $20 per player.
  6. If a league requires a pre-approval, this is necessary to obtain from the league coordinator before registering. If a player registers without pre-approval, the coordinator has the right to cancel a player’s registration. Players may be pre-approved for as many leagues as they are interested in. The pre-approval process is not meant to deter you from signing up; rather, it’s designed to ensure that everyone enjoys fun, competitive games. We aim to create balanced matches where all players can challenge themselves and have a great time.
  7. Leagues first come/first served in order of registrations received. If preapprovals for leagues are required, this does NOT mean that you have a reserved spot. It simply means you meet the criteria necessary to register.
  8. Players may register for ONE LEAGUE ONLY on the first day of registration.
  9. If a player signs up for a league when they have not met the above criteria, the registration will be canceled & the spot will be forfeited in the league.
  10. If you register for the incorrect league, you will not be permitted to move into your intended league until registration closes and you will only be permitted into that league if spots remain. If no spots remain, the player must decide to either stay in the league he/she incorrectly registered for or forfeit their league registration fees.
  11. Some leagues utilize recording scores with DUPR. DUPR, or the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating, is a system designed to provide an accurate and consistent rating for pickleball players. It takes into account match results, player performance, and the ratings of opponents to generate a dynamic rating that reflects a player’s current skill level. The system is intended to improve player matchmaking and overall competition by ensuring players compete against others of similar abilities. If a player registers for a league that utilized DUPR, a DUPR account will be required prior to the first day of league, to create an account go to myDUPR.com. Once registered, players will need to join the Pickleball Club of Chesterfield County CLUB in DUPR.
  12. **** There will be NO REFUNDS once a player is registered, no exceptions. ****
  13. Once a league roster is full, players will be contacted by the league coordinator(s) with additional information.
  14. Leagues are 8 weeks total (No weather makeups).
  15. Do you need help deciding which league would be best? First check out here for descriptions of ratings. If you have any further questions, please feel to reach out to the league coordinators to help determine which league would be best for you.
