Player Skill Expectations

In the advanced beginner/intermediate co-ed level, players are expected to demonstrate skills such as sustaining short to multiple shot rallies, incorporating forehand and backhand shots (still refining stroke development). They may begin to approach the Non-Volley Zone (NVZ) and adopt a more aggressive playing style. Players at this level may also integrate dinks and lobs, although the understanding of when and where to use them may not be fully developed. Other expected improvements include a more reliable serve, enhanced knowledge of rules, and gradually improving court coverage, even though it may still be a work in progress.

General Comments

This inclusive league welcomes both female and male players looking to have fun while elevating their gameplay. While efforts will be made to maintain coed groups, it depends on participant sign-ups each night. Regular weekly participation is strongly encouraged, and players can sign up weekly throughout the eight-week season. Scores will be recorded in DUPR & players will receive a player rating by the end of the season. Familiarity with basic rules and scoring (USAPA Rules) is expected. Participants should bring their own paddle, stay hydrated, and consider wearing sunscreen, comfortable attire, and protective glasses. Game balls will be provided.
