Player Skill Expectations

The entry-level pickleball league is designed for players newer to the sport, offering a relaxed and fun environment without formal instruction. While participation in a PB 101 course is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Players should have a general understanding of how to play the game. The league provides an opportunity for players to practice fundamental skills, receive minimal assistance if needed, and enjoy the social aspect of meeting new players. It is an ideal platform for beginners to build their skills and passion for pickleball.

General Comments

Completion of the league prepares participants for open play at different courts in Greater Richmond. Regular weekly attendance is advised, with sign-ups available each week during the eight-week season. Players should bring their pickleball paddle, water, sunscreen, comfortable attire, and protective glasses. Game balls are provided by the league.
