Player Skill Expectations
This league is open to all male advanced beginner and intermediate players ages 20+. Players should be familiar with the basic rules and scoring (see the USAPA Rules).
General Comments:
Everyone must register for each week’s play via Sign-Up Genius.
Games: Warm-ups will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by a meeting at 6:25 PM. After discussing safety requirements, we will have either a “tip of the day,” a learning drill, or a fun pickleball-style game. Please note that the fun games will not be counted toward your DUPR rating. Our competitive round-robin games will start immediately afterward. Each week, you will be assigned courts based on your DUPR rating to play competitive games with players of similar skill levels.
Equipment: Bring your own pickleball paddle and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Court shoes and protective glasses are highly recommended. Balls for play will be provided.
Participation: Please make every effort to be present each week. We have limited court space, so last-minute cancellations and no-shows are frowned upon and disrupt the pre-made roster. If your plans change, please inform the coordinator as soon as possible so they can adjust the player roster accordingly.
