Member of the Month – Dave King
We are pleased to announce DAVE KING as the February Member of the Month. In addition to being a stellar League Coordinator, Dave is a shining example of the kind of pickleball person with whom we all want to play, befriend, and emulate. His signature call at the starting serve says it all! “Let's have fun! Zeroes on two."

Dave has devoted his time as Coordinator of the Beginner and Advanced Beginner Leagues for several seasons for the love of imparting his own skills to relative newcomers. His welcoming and coaching attitude makes a huge difference to the confidence and comfort level of all these league players.

He took this "helping" attitude to a higher level by earning an instructor's certificate, so he could formally guide other players to become better. Anyone who’s had the good fortune to connect with Dave on either side of the net recognizes he is considerate, cooperative, and simply fun. Dave truly espouses the spirit of Pickleball.

He is universally beloved among the hundreds of acquaintances he's made in pickleball as genuinely kind and helpful. During a game, he offers praise to his teammate and opponents alike. Dave is always ready to step up when I ask for his assistance and I have always appreciated his desire to help.

Thanks, Dave! The Pickleball Club of Chesterfield County is proud to have you as a player, a coach and a friend.

Update on CTC
The new windscreens have been approved for CTC and will be ordered as soon as the purchase order is ready.
These will be paid for, installed and maintained by Parks and Rec who have agreed to check them at least once a week and maybe more often. These screens will be held up with heavier ties so they should stay up through most wind conditions and will hopefully last a long time.
What a welcome change to have Parks and Rec keep them ship-shape for us. Thank you Jeff Rodgers, Park Manager, District 5 (which includes CTC-Hull) and Parks & Rec for making this happen.
And on that note, Jeff will be leaving this position for a different position with Parks and Rec. We will miss him greatly as he has been a real champion for us. He assures me that he will still be around and will help out in any way he can and we will see him often on the pickleball courts. He loves the sport just as we do.

We should always express gratitude to our Parks and Rec employees. They are the best! And so are you, my fellow pickleball players.

See you on the courts!
