Chesterfield Pickleball News

Hi member,

League Participation Tops 700 Players
PCCC has exceeded our initial expectations for participant league registration, due in large part to the addition of new leagues to accommodate every level and our new automated registration system. The interest shown by individuals of all skill levels and ages underscores the appeal of our league and the growing popularity of pickleball within Chesterfield County. Huge thanks go to the efforts of League Commissioner Lynze Kapp, technology coordinator Colby Rogness, Chesterfield Parks and Rec for support with court scheduling, and all league coordinators who have worked so hard to make this program work before play begins in September,
Now that registration is closed, our league coordinators will be focusing on finalizing the league schedule and communicating important details to all registered participants. We will ensure that participants receive the schedule, rules, safety guidelines, and any other relevant information well in advance of the league's start date.

Please! Complete Parks & Rec Survey by August 31
PCCC urges all to take 10 minutes to complete this Parks and Rec survey. Each response will count! Parks and Rec uses your response for budgeting. Top wish list items you might add in with your own to improve pickleball are (1) changing out the floor at Stonebridge so pickleball and volleyball can play indoors (2) Create a Tournament center at Rockwood, where there is both the space and location to thrive.
The Parks and Recreation Master Plan ensures a system-wide park master plan to serve existing and future generations of Chesterfield residents and visitors. To reflect citizens’ interest in ongoing Pickleball, please complete the survey at Qualtrics Survey | Qualtrics Experience Management

Check Calendar for Court Availability
As League play begins Labor Day week, be sure to check the PCCC calendar to verify when courts are available for Open Play. Since CTC, Rockwood, Dodd. Huguenot, and HD all have some league activity, some courts will not be available for open play at these reserved times.
