Chesterfield Pickleball News

Hi member,

URGENT! See the announcement below from Parks and Rec regarding the Master Plan. To provide our PCCC feedback, please click on the link, and take a few minutes to express your opinion as to what we need for the further growth and enjoyment of pickleball.
Chesterfield Parks and Recreation Crowd-sourced Survey

No guarantee that we will get what we ask for but if we don't ask, they can't know how many voters even care.
For instance, is it important to:
· Build more pickleball courts throughout the County
· Add more pickleball courts at Scott Pickleball Center at Rockwood
· Add more pickleball courts at CTC
· Build a large pickleball tournament center to bring in tourist dollars and cachet for the County
· Construct permanent roofed structure for shade / gathering at side of CTC courts

Please email me at the Gmail address below (different than usual!) to let me know if you’ve completed the survey, so I can keep count.
Subject Line: Survey Completed Email: [email protected]

Thank you!

See you on the courts!

President, PCCC

Your input is needed! The Parks and Recreation Master Plan ensures a system-wide park master plan to serve existing and future generations of Chesterfield residents and visitors.
The comprehensive master plan is segmented into three phases, each includes community outreach and input sessions with staff and county leadership.
1 - Getting Started - Data collection and citizen input
2 - Diving In - Research of facility and spatial needs and evaluation of trends. The assessment includes conservation, historic resources, sports complexes, and recreation centers.
3 - Path Forward - Summary of recommendations and implementation plan for short-term and long-range initiatives
Take the Chesterfield Parks and Recreation Crowd-sourced Survey to provide input for the master plan update.
The survey will help Chesterfield determine future recreation needs and resources. Chesterfield Parks and Recreation is working with VCU's Survey and Evaluation Research Laboratory (SERL) on this project. Your responses will be confidential, but you can sign up for project updates. Questions and comments about the survey may be directed to VCU at 804-827-0047. Questions about the master plan should be directed to 804-751-4322.
