As you know, many of us have been looking forward to the CTC court repainting for both aesthetics and safety. Well, the time has officially come! It starts Monday, June 1st, and there will be closures, so please read on.
|
Per Chesterfield Parks and Rec, the primary painting contractor has been delayed by the recent rain, so our court schedule for this week is looking a little different than originally planned:

- Courts 4, 5, 6 , and 7, 8, 9 (The Inside Courts): CLOSED on Monday, June 1st, because Hurricane Fencing is beginning their work on the post extensions for the banners (providing shade for us!).
- Courts 1, 2, 3, and 10,11,12 (The Outside/End Courts): OPEN and playable until June 8th, thanks to the contractor's rain delay.
- Starting June 9th, ALL COURTS will be CLOSED for play until the painting is finished.
- Because Hurricane Fencing will start work on Monday, June 1st, we need to clear out our gear right away.
Which Means…We Need Your Help ASAP (Just 30 Minutes!)

While PCCC dues and League fees cover the project's financial costs, we are personally responsible for clearing the area before the crews arrive.

This means removing the storage bins, fans, and the temporary curtain we installed.
|
I will be out of town until Sunday night, so I am looking for a few awesome volunteers to step up on Monday morning.
|
- When: Monday, June 1st at 7:00 a.m.
- The Tasks: Moving the bins under the orange awning, take down our temporary shade curtain, and remove the fans.
- The How: If we cut the wire holding up the curtain, the whole thing will come down easily and we can just fold each section and put it in storage. Also, a volunteer will need to store the fans for us (Dave T. ??)
- Time commitment: It should take no longer than 30 minutes if we get a few hands and get out of the way before the crew arrives.
