Dear Friends, as many of you know, David King passed away this week after a long and heroic battle with cancer.

~~~
Our hearts are heavy at his passing, but we are choosing to focus on the many wonderful ways he touched our pickleball community and the greater RVA area.
~~~

Dave was not just a knowledgeable pickleball player welcoming newbies to the courts--though he did that often!--he was also a selfless coach and mentor, as well as a longtime volunteer for the Pickleball Club of Chesterfield County. He served as Treasurer, and he also managed countless leagues for us over many years. If you were fortunate enough to play in one of his leagues, you will remember his motto, "Let's have FUN!"

For those who would like to pay their respects and share memories of David, visitation will be held on Friday, May 1st, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J.T. Morris and Son Funeral Home located at 3050 W. Hundred Road in Chester.

~~~
I hope some of you can attend and celebrate the life of a wonderful man who meant so much to our community.
