Update on Court Availability at CTC
We want everyone to be in the know about the construction situation at CTC, so please pass along this important information:
The county contractor plans to start work at the courts on Wednesday, weather permitting. This new awning is a costly project that Parks and Recreation is installing for the benefit of all of us, so we need to follow their guidelines.
If we don't, safety considerations will force them to close down the courts for the duration of the project, which may be up to 3 or 4 weeks.
The rules are simple:
#1 - If the contractor is on site, there is no playing on ANY court. If play is in progress, we have to pack up and leave. No exceptions.
#2 - When the contractor is NOT there, Parks and Rec has agreed to allow the furthest perimeter courts to be OPEN. In that scenario--i.e., when no contractor is on site--courts 1, 2, 3 and courts 10, 11, 12 on the ends can be used for play.
#3 - All other courts (the ones nearest to the project) will be closed for the duration of the construction. If you see anyone playing on courts 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 at any time during the construction period, please assume they are unaware of the rules and respectfully let them know of the restriction.
#4 - When playing on courts 1, 2, 3 and courts 10, 11, 12, please use the end gates only.
And remember, there are several other county courts available! Be adventurous and check out one of the other locations during this time. You never know what new friends you will make! ?
Thank you for being so cooperative and remember to thank Parks and Rec for this generous gift!
