Welcome Jackie Keenan as League Commissioner
We are delighted to welcome long-time League Coordinator Jackie Keenan as the new PCCC League Commissioner. Jackie is known for the fun and organization she has brought to her leagues, and we are lucky to have her lend her organizational skills and passion for pickleball to league management.
|
Jackie will be working diligently in the coming weeks with the League Coordinators and Colby Rogness to get all info out to spring league players through the Coordinators. All info will be posted on the PCCC website, so players are asked to check there for updates as they become available.
|
Jackie has taken on the Commissioner role for the spring season, and welcomes interest from able players on volunteering in this capacity in the Fall.

David King – PCCC Treasurer
The club is lucky to have our very committed member David King come aboard as PCCC Treasurer. As in all Board positions, this represents a great gift of time for the betterment of the Club. David follows in the footsteps of the wonderful Robin Gordon who helped us make great strides with automation and our account management in her tenure as Treasurer. We will miss her as she takes more time for family and travel. David joins Board members Linda Scott (President), Lisa Murphy (Vice President) and Gloria Lambert (Secretary)

Check the website over the next week for all the details. The Registration button will be activated on the website Feb. 22. All registrations will be on-line.

Wanted! Smart and Dedicated Pickleball Players
Pickleball Club of Chesterfield County continues to grow, and all members benefit from its initiatives. Club efforts include the expansion of both indoor and outdoor courts within Chesterfield, ongoing improvement of our facilities through working with Parks & Rec, opportunities for league play, and fostering fitness and friendship county-wide.
|
Keeping the ball rolling requires smart and dedicated community members to step up. We need volunteers to step into board and support positions to help with communications, social media, league management, reporting, and representation with the County. Please contact Linda Scott at pickleball4all@aol.com to share how you can help Chesterfield pickleball.

2025 Pickleball Rules Changes
Check this out for the most important new rules clarification
|
https://thekitchenpickle.com/.../usa-pickleball-rule... One new rule I’d like to highlight is 13.D.1.a “In the spirit of good sportsmanship, players are expected to call any type of fault on themselves or their partners as soon as the fault is committed or detected.” This includes NVZ foot faults, line calls, double bounces, service foot faults, illegal service motion, net plane violations, failing to wait for the second bounce on the serve side and any other faults you can think of. Your integrity is worth more than a point/game. Borrowed from the Charlotte Dilly Newsletter.

Pickleball Lessons
Help spread the word to your friends and acquaintances that Chesterfield Parks and Recreation offers some of the best classes for them to get started in Pickleball. All of our instructors are certified and at least two are certified to teach Youth. Parks and Rec will be bringing in an employee who will be focusing on youth in sports in the near future and USAPickleball is turning their focus in that direction also.
|
APRIL IS NATIONAL PICKLEBALL MONTH!
Can you think of some fun activities we can do in honor of our sport to highlight it, locally, to those who don’t play, YET? We will submit your ideas to Parks and Rec to seek their support. I know you can come up with some good ideas. Send them to me at Pickleball4all@aol.com.
