Calling All Civic Minded Volunteers
We all enjoy pickleball, especially the broad opportunity for play we find in Chesterfield County. All our resources and courts are a result of the PCCC and our collaboration with Parks and Rec. To keep this going, we rely on our wonderful corps of volunteers – those that monitor the indoor and outdoor courts, lead leagues, work on our website, and serve on the Board. Talents are needed for the following positions.

Please contact Linda Scott at 804-683-8481 to discuss. Won’t you consider stepping up to further the Chesterfield pickleball experience?

County Relations and Compliance Director
- Attend necessary Parks and Rec (and other Chesterfield County) meetings to represent the interests of PCCC, to find ways to support Chesterfield Parks and Rec, and to insure that we are following guidelines as a Co-Sponsored Club with Chesterfield County. (This person would begin by attending with PCCC President to learn the ropes)
- Serve as overall Pickleball Court Administrator. This person reports/resolves court issues with Parks and Rec reported by individual court players and managers (nets, trash, vandalism, etc)
Spring Leagues
Spring League registration opened Saturday Feb. 24 and will close March 5. Huge thanks to Commissioner Jackie Keenan and PCCC Technology Director Colby Rogness, for readying the website for the hundreds of registrations. A special edition of the newsletter will follow the close of registration.

A League of Their Own for Beginners
While all the leagues have something special to offer, I want to highlight one particular league that is close to my heart. It’s the BEGINNER LEAGUE on Friday evenings at Rockwood, coordinated by Colby Rogness. Colby welcomes all Beginners and offers gentle guidance regarding the rules for those who need and want it. You get to hang out and play with many more players at the Beginner Level making new friends and improving your skills at the same time. While you DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE TAKEN THE PB101 COURSE for this league, (you may be self/computer taught), you do need a basic understanding of how to play pickleball. However, if you have taken the PB 101 Class this may be for you, too, as a refresher for Spring/Summer and to build your confidence as a player. Players report that they love this social league and it gave them a “leg up” for being comfortable when playing in Open Play sessions at the courts. There are a few openings left before registration closes March 5. Go to our website, Chesterfield Pickleball.club. Click on 2025 Spring Leagues and sign up today. You will be glad you did.
